History of Keno

There are many stories about Keno's origin however the most talked about are those backed by ancient Chinese scrolls, it is believed that a famous Chinese general Cheung Leung in 200 BC, faced with a financial crisis and a war-weary kingdom proposed a construction of a wall to keep the barbarians at bay, however the Chinese people where already over-taxed from years of war and were growing restless. Cheung Leung knew that without a wall they faced possible defeat.

It was at this time that mighty Chinese General Cheung Leung invented a game, that required players to pick from a set of 120 characters, to wager money or property on the outcome, then random characters were then drawn and declared the winning combination. The game proved to be so popular that not only did the general find all the money needed to start the construction of the Great Wall, but also funded his army as well and was able save the dynasty from defeat.

Later in the 19th century the game of Keno was brought to the United States by Chinese immigrants who worked on the railroads, the chinese later replaced the 120 characters with 80 numbers and thus started Keno's popularity in the United States.

Keno Today

Today, Keno is played in just about every casino or registered club or organisation (agent), numbers are randomly picked and the results are called frequently, depending on the casino, games can run as often as every 10-15 mins.

Players pick their numbers and record them at a Keno booth and wait for the results.

How To Get Playing Keno Quickly
